Just a reminder for everyone, we are holding the 2010 Night Riders Series, event #6, team challenge on our make up date this Wednesday night. I've heard we are supposed to get some weather on Wednesday night as well; figures. Hopefully the Wednesday Night Curse will subside so we can proceed with our stunting.
This week we will also try to rebuild the Jungle Jib. The set up will be a little different than normal. There will be one feature up top, three features beside each other on one table, then another single feature at the bottom. We will be doing this set up so setting up for the Red Bull Butter Cup will be easy.
Updates!
Hey Everyone! So, you might have heard we got some snow in the past couple days. Our parks are momentarily buried. The park groomer will be in the Butterscotch Park and the Progression Park tonight, packing and pushing more snow. If all goes well, we should have both parks open for tomorrow. The Jungle Jib will be rebuilt starting next week. As far as I know, the Red Bull Buttercup has been scheduled for the evening of March 13th.
I've wanted to post these pictures for sometime now. This is our park ranger Nick W., throwing down some nice tricks. One even dates back to the onsie, during the before time; in the long, long ago.
Red Bull Buttercup POSTPONED!
Due to crazy amounts of snow the Red Bull Buttercup will be postponed. Click on this post title to get more information from Red Bull.
Red Bull Buttercup
We have been getting hammered with all sorts of weather the past couple days. I want to thank all the Battle for Burlington competitors and staff for being patient and cooperative with our changes to the event. I'm sorry the mother nature foiled the plans.
There are two competitions this week at the BV: our team challenge for Night Riders this Wednesday night, and Friday night we have the Red Bull Buttercup. The Buttercup is a unique event featuring four buttery features which we will be setting up in the Jungle Jib.
As a result we will be closing down the Jungle Jib Tuesday or Wednesday to start removing features. Due to our legal agreements with Red Bull, the Jungle Jib will remained closed until the competition. We hope to rebuild the Jungle Jib with exciting new lines on Saturday.
FYI: Battle for Burlington
Just for everyone's information the Butterscotch park will be closed at 1:PM on 2/20 for the Battle for Burlington. As a result the Progression Park will be closed at 4:PM, after ski patrol closes the Foxy trail. You have been informed.
OMG Giant Terrain Park Blog Double Post
We have been working really hard to make our park better than ever. We have added six new features including a flat box, an up box with large drop off, a mini quarter pipe barrel stall with booter double awesomeness included, pole jam, the gnarly Subaru box, and a c-box.
For upcoming events we still have our ever famous Night Riders Series, then on the 20th we are hosting the Battle for Burlington High School Throwdown. Finally, we have a new event coming to the mountain on the 26th, the Red Bull Buttercup. This is a special event put on by Red Bull with their own custom features. These features will be used for the event only, and will not be open to the public; so if you want to get your butter on, you better sign up.

USASA Pictures and Battle for Burlington
The USASA event was a success. Nice weather, good course conditions, and happy little jibbers made for a memorable day. There was a large number or young up and comings; its great to see so many young kids progressing and keeping the sport alive. You guys are the future of the sport.
Our next upcoming events are, of course, the Night Riders on Wednesday and the Battle for Burlington High School Throwdown on 2/20.
FYI: USASA Slopestyle Event 2/6
For everyone's information, the Butterscotch Park will be closed during the day on Saturday February 6th for the USASA slopestyle event. Butterscotch Park should be open to the public again by at least 3:PM. The Jungle Jib and the Burton Progression Park will be open. Thank you for your cooperation.
