We Got Snow!

The Sprig O'Pine hike park now has soft powdery landings!  But seriously, go out and find some powder; last night we acquired at least a foot of snow.  So go out there and get some.

Kids and GoPros

Here are two videos recently made by two BV locals.  Props to Jack and Andrew.  You guys are speedy with those edits.

Here's a Holiday Gift

That's right; we dig in the rain.  Tonight we set up three features on Sprig of Pine.  The Sam rail or down flat down, the flat box set down, and the flat tube set down.  The Mountain Manager went out of his way to help us build this hike park.  So, remember to say 'thank you' to Harold and the park crew when you see them.   Happy Holidays from BV Parks!

Everybody's Tubin' for the Weekend

We've installed one of our new features on the Mighty Mite, a spectacular 20' flat tube.  We'll keep this tube up until we have a park, which will hopefully be soon.  A park before Christmas would be the best gift ever!  Keep praying that the temps and the humidity will drop, and that mother nature starts dropping more snow.

New Video on the Blog

Check out our video in our video bar from opening weekend, featuring your park specialists Nick Wilkins and Taylor Stout, high school intern Parker Cornbrooks, and special guest Peter J Malloy II.  Chillzone Destruktion Krack Krew.

Mighty Box

After four years, we finally managed to get on box up for opening day.  A huge thanks goes to the new Ski School Director, Jamie, for letting us share her space on the Mighty Mite.  Couldn't have done it without her.  It was so great to see everyone having a blast and to final give back to our park passholders.

Please Mother Nature . . .

Keep your fingers crossed for tomorrow.

Opening December 10th

The snow guns will start up again tonight, to get us ready for our new opening date 12/10.  The upcoming forecast says we might get up to four inches.  Keep your fingers crossed!

After Technical Difficulties, We're Back

We apologize for the lack of blog posts. We lost access to the blog when the resort webpage was updated. But we're back now and ready to spill some details.

The crew is starting to assemble! We have your favorite, friendly park specialists coming back, Nick and Nick; and we would like to welcome Taylor Stout and Drew Richman to the crew. We've been digging around in the woods for old snowmaking pipe for new features. Wish us luck!

The Mountain still plans on opening on Friday the 9th, so come up and make some turns!

Last Weekend of the Season (for Parks)

Not sure if you heard, but we are staying open for one more weekend! That's right, although the parks will be closed, the Vista Quad will be running the 9th and 10th. For more details check out the link, or click on the post title.
Here is some evidence of the business from today's 50/50 weekend

Homegrown Movie Competition

Hey guys, don't forget about the Homegrown movie contest. If you have an edit from Bolton Valley, post it to the Bolton Valley Facebook page and then get your friends to "like" it. The park guys have an edit it up. Its pretty sweet. Can you do any better?

Leprechaun Shred-a-thaun

Just a heads up for this weekend; Saturday is the College Social "Leprechaun Shred-a-thaun". There will be a rail jam in the Jungle Jib @ 12:PM and a jump jam in the Butterscotch park @ 2:PM. Needless to say the Jungle Jib will be closed for this event, reopening around 2:PM. The Butterscotch park will be closed from 1:30 until 3:45, then reopening for the rest of the evening.

New Hours for Sunset Skiing

We have changed our hours of operation in order to prolong our spring skiing. We will be opening at 10:AM on the weekdays, and 9:Am on the weekends, then closing at 5:PM on non-night skiing nights. I know there's a bunch of people happy that Cobrass Cafe will be accessible for later. Not to mention later park venturing.

Night Riders Finale

Tonight is the finale of our Night Rider Series. Redeem yourself in one of the rail jams and gain more points to beat out the leader, or come to support your friends.

Photos and More

Slow snow conditions and wind made us decide to hold the Night Riders in the Jungle Jib. Jam it out folks.
Secondly, go to the facebook page and check out the photos from Welcome to the Jungle. There's 152 photos, hence not blog friendly for posting. Click on the link below or on this post title.

Tour Around the Parks

Now that we finally have all of our parks open we took some pictures for all those photo fiends out there.

Progression Park Together

The Progression Park's opening day is today. We finally have all three parks open so come throw down mini or massive stunts. Pictures to follow.

Jungle Jib Rebuild

In case you were wondering why the Jungle Jib looks so scarce, we will be rebuilding that park throughout this week.

USASA Event Sunday!

Been working hard today to perfect the course for USASA tomorrow. Needless to say Butterscotch will be closed Sunday for USASA. Sorry to all our other guests, but good luck to all our skiers and riders tomorrow!

Check out our Video Park Run

Make sure to check out the Nick and Nick show testing out the GoPro for the first time. More webisodes and clips to follow.

Welcome back . . .

The Butterscotch park will finally and officially open tomorrow morning after maintenance. The opening is a day later than we hoped, and there are still three features missing, but we made sure everything is, what Wilkins would call, "money". Hopefully the inches of snow won't ruin the speed for tomorrow.

Night Riders 2011

Skiers and riders compete under the lights in the Bolton Valley terrain parks for prizes every Wednesday night. The event set-up changes each week to keep things fresh--sometimes it's a rail jam, sometimes it's a full slopestyle, or it can be anything in between. Come to every event and collect points for bigger prizes to be given away on the final night of the series. Sponsors: Burton, Coal, Darn Tough, Line, Maven, Meat Head Films, Nordica, ProTec, Sam Cohn Foundation, Ski the East, Talent Skate Park, Unknown Arts, and Vans.

Attention, attention

Attention, attention! The Jungle Jib will be closed tomorrow due to snowmaking. You have been forewarned

Snowmaking Commences!

Yeah snowmaking! Fix that Butterscotch up.

Mother Nature Why Are You So Cruel

Warm weather and rain have caused us some problems. Unfortunately, the Jungle Jib is closed. There are a few bare spots and a river exposing itself in the gate entrance. Snowmakers plan on returning to the Jungle Jib and on Beech Seal in the upcoming weeks, since the pump died while they were in the midst of blowing, and both trails need snow desperately.

Good news for the Butterscotch Park and Progression Park. Starting mid-week, we will be turning on the fan guns and pounding the two parks with snow. Our hope is to have both parks open by January 15th. Meanwhile, we will do our best to keep the Jungle Jib alive. So long January thaw, and don't come back now, ya hear!
